Strong Product

This is a product with great functionality. I use it for my rock band where I have a webcam camera focused on each player in the studio and have Detail record all 4 cameras. I then browse for spots and choose which camera I want to use in each spot for the export. I do encounter some minor glitches, but all the important stuff works for my purpose. I appreciate this product being available!

Can’t record 4K, Support Emails Ignored, Occasionally Doesn’t Record

I needed an app that would simply record video and audio from cameras and a couple of browser windows so that I could edit them in post. There’s no app that does just that. Detail Studio was the closest. I paid for the pro subscription because it said recording was limited to 1080p unless I did. After buying the subscription, I still could not make it record the cameras in 4K. Considering I’m paying for the software, I e-mailed the support email address asking how I could make it record in 4K. The e-mail was never answered. It’s been a few weeks now. If I’m paying PER MONTH for your software, you can’t just reply whenever, because without support I’m paying for a product that doesn’t work right. I’m canceling my pro subscription.

Great Software for multicam recording

I have been fortunate to discover this great app and have been using it in Beta mode. There have been many great recent updates which keep improving it further. If you are looking to record multiple cameras and your screens recorded at the same time, this is the best App for you.

Amazing When it Works!

When this app works, it's amazingly efficient and productive. I can record myself, my screen, and a combo of myself and screen all at the same time, export 3 synced tracks to get to my video editor to clean up, and we can publish content much faster than before. Unfortunately, though, it often drops "scenes" when I'm trying to record. I'll have it set to record screen 2, I'll click "record," and then it will say screen 2 is unavailable. Or, I'll record a take. Stop to do another one and then screen 2 won't work again. Sometimes quitting the app and opening it again helps, but it's sporadic. It's gotten frustrating enough that I've started trying to figure out how to get OBS to just do what Detail used to do. It's a shame because the learning curve with OBS is so much higher than Detail is...when it works.

Essential for My Lessons

I teach drums and DETAIL has become essential to my day-to-day operation. I create online content and, more importantly, custom lesson excerpt videos for my in-person students that I can airdrop to them before they leave the room. This is AMAZING and really helps up level my product and my students' results.

Great tool!

It's a great tool I am using. It has met my needs; now I don't use complex OBS studio, and also discarded paid Wondershare Democreator. I recommend this to all content creators.

Poor quality

My second time using the app, I recorded a 20ish minute video, and within the first few minutes, the video started lagging and didn't line up with the audio. When I stopped the recording and played it back, it had cut off the last 5ish minutes of the video. Very frustrating - the first use went surprisingly well for it being a free app.

Lots of Bugs

Whenever you finish recording, the scenes don't transfer to edit mode as they should. For example, scene one is 1x zoom, scene two is the same camera but 2x zoom, and scene three is a combo scene camera one and two. Once recorded, it copies the scene one and two settings to each other so it is the same clip and cannot be edited. The combo scene oddly zooms in much more than originally set, making it unusable.
